‘Twas the year 2020 and all through the house…
Not a creature was happy, not even a mouse.
No one was allowed outside their sad walls,
The whole world had shut down (yes, even the malls.)
At first, we thought — Hooray, free days off of work!!
Until those days turned to months, ‘twas no longer a perk.
All the video games, board games, computer games played
Everyone stuck in their beds, but no one getting laid…
’Til one fateful night, in the midst of the storm,
Nat and Ant Griffen made a comedy short that took form…
Hi, mis boobis. During the pandemonium, I wrote a short film called Night Night Night Night in which I force-cast my brother to star, because I want to put him in everything. He is my lil’ Pedro Pascalito in-training. I don’t care if you see the resemblance or not.
The film is about two siblings living in a world stuck in perpetual nighttime. Because isn’t that what the pandemic felt like? One long, endless night…
I’m not sharing the film widely yet (because it was a weird little experiment and I’m not sure I want to share it widely, even though it has a special place in my cold little heart) but I am willing to share it with a smol group of fwends. Which you are. Parasocially. But that’s close enough. I’m keeping the film behind a paywall to keep it semi-private (and to tease those of you who are free subscribers because I’m a dirty little girl).
